Developer
This product was developed by Ruth McIntosh, Sharon Vaughn, Jeanne Shay Schumm, Diane Haager, and Okhee Lee.

Product Description
CCS was created to analyze the behavior of students and teachers in general education classrooms that contained students with learning disabilities who had been mainstreamed into general education classrooms. The instrument allows for the collection of data that compares the classroom experience of students with disabilities and students without disabilities to determine whether there is a difference. The 21 items that are part of the Classroom Climate Scale are arranged in four components: the participation and interaction of students, the climate of the classroom, behaviors initiated by students, and behaviors initiated by teachers.

General Target Population Information
CCS was created to analyze the behavior of students and teachers in general education classrooms that also contained students with learning disabilities who had been mainstreamed into general education classrooms. The instrument allows for the collection of data that compares the classroom experience of students with disabilities and students without disabilities to determine whether there is a difference.
