This project was developed by the Vermont Department of Education in collaboration with ETS Keeping Learning on Track.

Product Description
FAP was designed to develop teachers’ capacity to frequently monitor the learning of all students and adjust instruction to better meet their needs. Building on formative assessment research and educator professional development research, FAP uses formative assessment strategies and techniques to help teachers refine the necessary knowledge and skills to teach effectively.

FAP is designed for use with all teachers.

FAP is used in many schools throughout the state of Vermont; it was initially pilot-tested in nine schools. Staff representing 42 schools were trained as of 2008.
