REL Midwest hosted this event as part of a two-day conference sponsored by the Michigan College Access Network and the University of Michigan. Practitioners, policymakers, and community members learned about applying the research from the Institute of Education Sciences practice guide Helping Students Navigate the Path to College: What High Schools Can Do. Featured was practice guide coauthor Nicole Farmer Hurd, Ph.D., executive director of the National College Advising Corps at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
