Project Description

The centers are community based programs focused on literacy skill development, library use, computer literacy, and service learning. Activities include: a) homework assistance to clarify assignments and reinforce concepts; b) tutoring in reading, math, and science to reinforce academic concepts; c) enrichment activities using a literacy-theme approach including social studies, agriculture, computers, multimedia technology; d) recreational activities that include various sports; e) cultural activities that include art, music, dance, drama, oral history.
