Transition to Teaching with the New Orleans Recovery School District
Client: University of New Orleans
Learning Point Associates is working with the University of New Orleans, Xavier University and the Recovery School District to design and implement a program that supports new alternatively certified teachers in their first years in the classroom. We will create professional learning communities for new teachers so that professional development and ongoing support is embedded in the job. This induction and mentoring program complements the performance-based alternative certification program staffed by faculty from the University of New Orleans, Xavier University and the New Orleans Recovery School District as part of the Transition to Teaching grant.
