Interstate Mobility Study
Troops to Teachers Survey

Troops to Teachers is partnering with the National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education and Certification (NASDTEC) (www.nasdtec.org) and Learning Point Associates (www.learningpt.org) to conduct a study of teacher interstate mobility.

One component of the study is designed to collect information from Troops to Teachers participants with interstate mobility experience. If you are, or were, a teacher who has moved from one state to another at some point in your teaching career or you were trained in a state other than the one in which you are now teaching, we would like to hear about your experiences. We also would like to hear from current teachers who unsuccessfully attempted to transfer their teaching license from one state to another. The survey should take no more than 10 minutes of your time.

Your participation in this survey is completely voluntary. Your responses to the survey questions will be reported in the aggregate, meaning that all responses will remain anonymous and none will be attributed to you. Although we are collecting your name and e-mail address for registration purposes, it only will supply a list of survey respondents for validity purposes.

Once you leave a section of the survey, you will not be able to return. Make sure you answer all questions before continuing to the next section.

We greatly appreciate your participation in this survey. Your responses will be used to help states understand and address the barriers and facilitators associated with teacher interstate mobility. Should you have questions or concerns, contact Kenny Smith at kenneth.smith@learningpt.org or 312-288-7608.
