This protocol was developed by the SIOP Institute.

Product Description
The SIOP is used for teachers of English language learners. The protocol is research-based and designed to support teachers in delivering content-rich instruction. The protocol contains 30 features that are categorized into eight components. The model evaluates teacher lessons on three domains: preparation, instruction, and review/assessment. Teachers are observed by their peers and recieve a score based on a scale of 0 to 4. Feedback is used to change instruction practices and identify areas of improvement.
