Developer
This initiative was developed by Atlanta Public Schools.

Product Description
Atlanta Public Schools received a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to improve its teacher evaluation system. The system is not fully implemented yet, but in the third and final phase, the district will implement a pay-for-performance system for compensation that is based on the Georgia CLASS Keys, student achievement, classroom observation, and student growth. One component of the system will be the Teacher Effectiveness Dashboard, which will provide administrators with data to make decisions concerning human capital management (including placement, professional development, and compensation).

General Target Population Information
The initiative was developed for use with Atlanta Public Schools Teachers. The plan is to roll out this evaluation system so that it is fully implemented by the 2011–12 school year.
