Product Description
North Carolina's Educator Evaluation System has two components: the Principal Evaluation Plan and the Teacher Evaluation Plan. The system is aligned with the state's Professional Teaching Standards in addition to other criteria identified by the state as important to the development of 21st century learners. The system is used to inform tenure decisions and the termination of ineffective teachers and principals. The system includes a self-assessment, classroom observations, the collection of artifacts, and a feedback loop to ensure conversations are formative for the teacher.
