This product was developed by a consortium of California universities (currently 30 participate).

Product Description
The PACT Teaching Event uses teacher portfolios, video clips, examples of student work, daily reflections, and commentaries of teaching context to evaluate preservice teachers. The Teaching Event examines five areas of teaching: planning, instruction, assessment, reflection, and developing students' academic language. Teachers are evaluated by teachers from the same subject area, and the assessment is aligned with the California Teaching Standards. The Teaching Event is considered a capstone experience that occurs after completing embedded PACT assessments during preservice training.

This product was developed as a summative assessment for preservice teachers who are completing student teaching.
