Use of Evaluation

This product was developed by the Burlington (Vermont) School District.

Product Description
The program was developed under the assumption that teachers at different levels in their career need different types of supervision. The evaluation system has five major components: goal setting, intensive supervision, ongoing supervision, colleague supervision, and focused assistance. Once the administrator and teacher have met at the end of the year, the administrator can recommend to the superintendent one of five next steps for the teacher license: renewed, intensive supervision, focused assistance, held on step, and nonrenewed.
