Use of Evaluation

This product was developed by ETS.

Product Description
Praxis III: Classroom Performance Assessments for Beginning Teachers comprises a system for assessing the skills of beginning teachers in their own classroom settings. Praxis III is used in teacher licensing decisions made by states or local agencies empowered to license teachers. Under the guidelines that govern its use, Praxis III may not be used for the purpose of making employment decisions about teachers who are already licensed. Praxis III is intended to be an open, public system. Its framework of knowledge and skills for beginning teachers emphasizes teacher decision making and the importance of student, school, and curricular context.
