Connecting Research to Practice REL Midwest is conducting a series of events designed to help ensure that Institute of Education Sciences research is disseminated into the field and to provide opportunities for practitioners and policymakers to deepen their understanding of evidence-based research. Connecting Research to Practice: Effective Classroom and Intervention Practices for Addressing Adolescent Literacy

This full-day conference is designed to provide a regional audience of literacy educators with an opportunity to learn about research-based recommendations in the IES Practice Guide Improving Adolescent Literacy: Effective Classroom and Intervention Practices Adobe PDF Icon and apply those recommendations in their schools and classrooms.

The event will feature Michael Kamil, Ph.D., a faculty member in the Stanford University School of Education who is coauthor of the practice guide.
