Teachers, administrators, and curriculum directors who work with English language learners (ELLs) in Michigan’s Kent Intermediate School District learned about applying the research from the Institute of Education Sciences Practice Guide about ELLs to their schools and classrooms. Featured was practice guide coauthor Tim Shanahan, Ph.D., of the University of Illinois at Chicago.
