Find your state's recently released allocations for ESEA Title I Grants to LEAs, IDEA Parts B and C, Rehabilitation Act State Grants, Independent Living State Grants, and Services for Older Individuals Who Are Blind, as well as your school district's allocations for Title I, Part A, under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
The figures used in the Fund Finder are from the U.S. Department of Education (ED). Please note the disclaimer from ED: Actual amounts received by LEAs will be smaller than shown here because states may make adjustments to federal Title I allocations. States adjust allocations, for example, to reflect LEA boundary changes or the creation of new LEAs, including charter school LEAs, that are not accounted for in the statutory calculations. States must reserve 4 percent in fiscal year 2009 for school improvement activities. These data are for information purposes only and do not constitute any binding agreement on behalf of the U.S. Department of Education.
The previously posted estimated allocations for IDEA, Part B, and IDEA, Part C, were drawn from a table published by the Congressional Research Service (CRS) and posted on the House Education and Labor Committee website. The U.S. Department of Education does not publish LEA figures for IDEA. These figures were the only published estimates and in some instances varied greatly from the actual allocations that are now being reported. For that reason, they have been removed from this report. Any questions about the specific allocations to school districts should be directed to the state education agency that calculates these figures or to the school district's administration office.
