Learning Point Associates Services:
Evaluating Teacher Effectiveness

How do we measure teacher effectiveness?

This is the question driving conversations among education policymakers, state leaders, and district and school personnel. Learning Point Associates is working with each of these groups to answer this question. We look beyond improved student achievement to teachers’ impact on their colleagues, for example, and their contributions to a school’s positive climate.

Services for States, Districts, and Foundations:

  • Research on measuring teacher effectiveness
  • Analysis of school and district data to develop improvement plans

The National Comprehensive Center for Teacher Quality has developed a five-point definition of teacher effectiveness to guide policy discussions and shape the development of resources to measure teacher impact.
