Learning Point Associates has gained national recognition for our Data Workshops. Administrators and teachers learn how to read the stories being told by their data and develop goals to improve student achievement. During the course of two days, we work with district or school teams to delve into achievement, demographic, program, and perception data. Together, we create action plans based on the analysis to address district and school needs.

An advanced Data Workshop provides a deeper analysis, focusing on one or two types of data in a specific academic content area. The key findings become goals, and participants create a strategic, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely (SMART) action plan with objectives, strategies, and formative indicators to operationalize those goals.

Using an already established data system, Learning Point Associates will work with you to build an online tutorial for the system administrators to provide to users. This tutorial helps develops new knowledge and skills among instructional coaches and teachers so that they will be able to extract meaning from student data. Each module poses a question and takes the user on a brief journey of data exploration using a specific approach or tool. Each module is designed to have a tutorial and a practice section. Each tutorial walks users through a graphical approach to a question about data, and each practice section helps them use example data, as well as their own, to build similar graphs and interpret the meaning behind the data.
