New Research by Public Agenda and Learning Point Associates Examines Gen Y Teacher Views
A new study from Learning Point Associates and Public Agenda offers a comprehensive and nuanced look at the question of whether different generations bring different aspirations, concerns, and perspectives to teaching. Supporting Teacher Effectiveness: The View From Generation Y reveals that 71 percent of Generation Y teachers have an openness to incentive pay but only 10 percent think that student performance on standardized tests is an appropriate measure of teacher success.

Learning Point Associates Awarded U.S. Department of Education Contract for Charter School Research and Technical Assistance
Learning Point Associates has been awarded a five-year contract for Charter School Research and Technical Assistance by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Innovation and Improvement. The first task under this umbrella contract is to establish the National Charter School Resource Center, which will provide services and support for the continued development of high-quality, effective charter schools. The charter school center will offer a diverse array of services to address the needs of the many constituents of charter schools.

Independent Study Finds Playing The Stock Market Game Yields Substantial
Gains for Student Achievement in Mathematics and Financial Literacy
Learning Point Associates announced today that a rigorous randomized controlled trial of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) Foundation's Stock Market Game found that students who played the game scored significantly higher on mathematics tests than their peers who did not play the game. Students playing The Stock Market Game, a financial literacy program taught in elementary, middle, and high schools, also scored significantly higher than their peers on tests measuring their financial literacy.
