Project Description

The Tapestry Program is comprised of three components: 1.) After School serving about 200 students every day in five elementary schools 2.) Academy Program tutoring about 125 students in 3 schools for 18 weeks. 3.) Homework Clubs and Teen Groups for Middle School students at four schools year round serving 50 students. 4.) Summer School and Summer Camps for six weeks for a full day with enrollment at 500. After School and Summer Camp are self-sustained by Child Care Subsidies and parent fees. Although successful, this method is very labor intense with billing, accounts receiveable, letters and support for applying to the Child Care Subsidy Program.
