Project Description

The Claiborne County 21st Century Community Learning Centers respond to the needs of our community by providing services through an extended school day and extended school year. Specifically, these needs are identified as high rates of poverty, inability of working parents to provide safe, quality supervision and constructive activities for school-aged children, academic under-achievement, and lack of cultural and recreational activities. This is achieved through collaborative relationships established between 21st CCLC Programs, the local school district, community organizations, and parent volunteers.
