Project Description

The Centers for Afterschool Program (CAP) provide a secure place for students to receive additional academic tutoring, to gain exposure to cultural and social activities that they may not have the opportunity to experience otherwise, and to bring their parents to workshops that will provide important information for their families. Significant changes in dismissal times, lack of parent involvement, and teacher burnout are some of the obstacles that were incurred and overcome during the year. Overall, the programs were embraced by the community and have become something that they expect the schools to provide for their children and families.
