Project Description

This 21st CCLC grant seeks to enhance the literacy skills of struggling readers in grades 3 to 8 who attend five inner city schools. Additionally, the grant outcomes include improving student behavior in school, increasing parental involvement in learning, helping the middle school students to achieve and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 (C average), and encouraging parents to complete their GED and attend adult ESOL classes.
