Examining Student Work

Objective
To provide a protocol-driven approach to professional development that supports increased student learning through collaborative teacher teams. These teams use different models to critically examine student work in specific content areas and plan for changes in curriculum, instruction, and assessment.

Format

Designed as a two-day workshop upfront, with three to four coaching sessions throughout the year.

Who Attends
Teachers, district resource people, and administrators.

Participants Learn to
  • Implement various protocols that support examining student work.
  • Use facilitation tools and strategies to engage and train other staff.
