School and District Consulting Work
In 2006, the Indiana Department of Education commissioned Learning Point Associates to work with Franklin Elementary School and Kuny Elementary School, in Gary, Indiana. Both schools had not made adequate yearly progress (AYP) for five consecutive years and, as a consequence, were facing restructuring.
As a result of our work, both schools now have plans to improve instructional practices, enhance professional development, and implement more effective use of data to drive instruction. Even more impressive, Kuny Elementary School made AYP for the 2006–07 school year.
